Baked Parmesan Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus is one of my favorite easy naturally gluten free holiday appetizers! It only takes a few minutes of simple prep, and it always a crowd favorite. Let’s get right to it! Read on for my Baked Parmesan Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch asparagus (thin looks nicer & easier to bunch)
- 1/2 lb sliced prosciutto
- parmesan cheese
- olive oil cooking spray
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 425
- Cut the tough ends off the asparagus
- Slice the proscuitto in half lengthwise
- Wrap bundles of asparagus with the proscuitto (they can tear easily so just wing it – they don’t have to be perfect!)
- Lay each wrapped bundle on a parchment lined baking sheet
- Once all asparagus is wrapped, lightly spray them with olive oil cooking spray
- Sprinkle the bundles with grated parmesan
- Bake about 15-20 minutes at 425. I prefer the prosciutto to be crispy so I leave mine in a little longer, but cook to your taste.
Notes:
- I like to serve with a tiny bit of crushed red pepper flakes.
- I bunched together about 4-5 thin pieces of asparagus
